John Wandling (Coach John).  Coach John has been sailing and racing sailboats for over 50 years.  He has coached and taught adults and young sailors and is dedicated to getting more young people into sailing.  This is Coach John’s second year at Walsingham Academy, and he is looking forward to a productive, happy year. 

David Cutting. Mr Cutting teaches art in the Upper School.  Is learning the sailing ropes and very interested in helping students become better sailors.  This is Mr Cuttings first year with the team.

Ian Baker Grade 10  Ian joins the team this year.  Learing to sail  Interested in both crewing and driving.

K.A. Hamner (Co-Captain) Grade 10.  KA Returns to the team this year after a successful season last year and lots of sailing over the summe..  She has lots of skill and a competetive spirit, and is always up for helping less experienced sailors. 

Liam Chen Grade 12.  Liam  is new to the team this year.  Interested in learning to sail and competing as crew.

Jack Plifka. Grade 10.  Jack has some big boat experience but is new to dinghy sailing.  Jack sailed lasers at Claytor Lake over the summer.  His favorite sailing memories include day sailing with his Grandpa on his big boat.

Joshua Morris.(Co-Captain)  Grade 10.  Josh is back for another year of building sailing skills after making a strong contribution to the crew last year.

Riley Kelley. Grade 12.  Riley returns this year after a good season last year and a summer spent learning new skill..  She has experience single-handing small boats and  quickly learned to handle crewed sailboats.

Maddy O’Connell.  Grade 12.  Maddy returns this year and carries on a family tradition of sailors.  Maddy is an advanced SCUBA diver and loves to spend time in or on the water.

Michael Laccheo.  Grade 9.  Michael started sailing with his grandparents on a 42 foot Cabo Rico when he was 5, but he didn't really start knowing what he was doing until he joined the Walsingham sailing team in 6th grade.

Vivian Hui.  Grade 9.  Vivian is new to the team this year and brings some sailing experience.
