Pisces is my J28 Sailboat. We do a lot of local races in the Hampton Roads area and are always interested in adding new members to our great crew. Crewing on a racing sailboat is about the most fun you can have for a minimum investment, but it does involve learning the boat and doing some work. You need non-marking shoes, sailing gloves, weather appropriate clothing, and a good attitude. I provide water and soft drinks; the crew usually brings food, sometimes to share. Experience is nice but not necessary. If you will crew for races, I will train you at no cost.
If you are interested in formal training for a fee, I also provide training and coaching (motor or sail) for up to three people at a rate of $200.00 per half day (3 hours) or $300.00 per day (6 hours),my boat or yours. I hold a USCG 50 ton master mariner certificate and am certified to teach by the American Sailing Association (ASA). Training on your boat is dependent on my assessment of seaworthiness. If you require ASA certification, you should book that through Sailtime Virginia Beach
I can deliver boats up and down the US East Coast and the Caribbean. If you need help moving your boat, contact me for an estimate.
